Before forming Fleetwood Mac in 1967, Green had cut his teeth playing in John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers – a sort of blues seminary for the finest of players – where he replaced Eric Clapton at just 19-years-old. This was Fleetwood Mac’s first to feature guitarist Danny Kirwan and the last to feature the sharmanistic song writing and masterful guitar playing of Peter Green. While Green only fronted the band for a few short years, the overarching influence of his prodigal talent and humble spirit have remained a guiding force, across a series of line ups, across numerous decades.
